Poor they may be in the strictest material sense, but not, in the context of culture or spirit helpless, deprived, or pitiable. We do not suggest anyone purchase goods based solely on an honorable wish to assist the continuation of indigenous crafts traditions or to provide an income to other “less fortunate folk”. These approaches though honorable, elicit no meaningful benefit to anyone. Rather, we offer these goods produced in collaboration with talented artisans who earn a living by a yearning for the divine and the sweat of their brow.
